KBSA Membership

AK Fitted Interiors is a member of the Kitchen and Bathroom Specialists Association. Full membership of the Association is restricted to companies involved in UK kitchen, bedroom and bathroom retailing who can fulfil strictly enforced criteria. KBSA members continue to be monitored as long as they are in the KBSA. If they fail to maintain the Association's standards, membership is withdrawn.
All members pay into a bond which is underwritten by a major insurance company. The bond is used to fund KBSA ConsumerCare, which is only available from current members of the Association and works in a similar way to the ABTA bonding scheme. For more information, go to www.kbsa.co.uk.

AK is highly respected within the industry – in 1999 it was declared Retailer of the Year in the national Industry Awards and it was the only Midlands firm to reach the finals of the 2006 competition. The company has previously received the regulatory body’s Award for Business Excellence.

Corgi Registration

AK Fitted Interiors is a Corgi registered gas installation business. CORGI (the Council for Registered Gas Installers) is the National Watchdog for Gas Safety in the UK, whose mission is to promote and enhance gas safety, standards and quality in a professional and ethical manner. Part P Registration

From 1st January 2005, anybody carrying out electrical installation work in dwellings in England & Wales is required to make "reasonable provision in the design, installation, inspection and testing" of this work to protect persons against fire or injury. All of AK Fitted Interiors' electricians are registered under Part P of the Building Regulations which came into effect on 1st January 2005. For more information, go to www.partp.co.uk.
